"Baby John" is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language action thriller directed by Kalees, serving as a remake of Atlee's 2016 Tamil film "Theri." The film stars Varun Dhawan as DCP Satya Verma, who adopts the alias John D'Saliva to protect his daughter, Khushi, from a vengeful politician named Babbar Sher, portrayed by Jackie Shroff.

The narrative unfolds with Satya Verma, a dedicated police officer, whose life takes a tragic turn when he kills Babbar Sher's son, Ashwin, in a quest for justice. In retaliation, Babbar Sher orchestrates an attack that leads to the death of Satya's wife, Meera, and his mother, Madhvi, while endangering his daughter, Khushi. Honoring his dying wife's wish, Satya fakes his own death and relocates to Kerala with Khushi, assuming the identity of John D'Saliva, a bakery owner.

As John, he leads a quiet life until his past resurfaces when Babbar Sher discovers their whereabouts and endangers Khushi's life again. Compelled to act, Satya sheds his alias and returns to Mumbai to dismantle Babbar Sher's criminal operations. The climax culminates in a confrontation where Satya rescues Khushi and others, leading to Babbar Sher's demise. The film concludes with Satya embracing a new role as a RAW field agent, embarking on further missions.

"Baby John" was released on December 25, 2024, coinciding with Christmas. Despite its star-studded cast, including Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi, the film received mixed reviews and underperformed at the box office.
